OUR STORY

We are a small terracotta studio in Jalna, Maharashtra, making everyday objects that feel a little more personal. Hand-thrown, hand-painted, and never quite identical — because your morning chai deserves better than something a machine forgot it made.

It started with a wheel

In 2024, Happy Earth Studio began with a potter's wheel, a bag of local clay, and a stubborn belief: the things we touch every day should be made by human hands. A cup you wrap your fingers around. A planter that holds a plant you love. A plate that has carried a thousand meals. These are not just objects — they are quiet company.

So we started shaping them, one at a time. No big factory, no shortcut, no rush. Just clay, water, hands, and time.

No factories. No two alike.

Every piece is thrown on the wheel, trimmed by hand, and hand-painted before it ever reaches you. That means a tiny wobble here, a brushstroke that leans a little there — the fingerprints of a real person, kept in rather than sanded away.

We think of it as a feature, not a flaw. When no two pieces are identical, the one you own is genuinely, only yours.

Made by skilled women artisans

Behind every mug and planter is a team of skilled women artisans in Jalna — the hands that centre the clay, pull the walls, and paint the details you fall for. This studio is a place to grow a craft and build a future, and we are proud that our work is quite literally shaped by theirs.

When you buy from us, you are backing real, local, women-led making. That means a great deal to us, and we think it might to you too.

Slow-made, on purpose

We do not keep shelves of ready stock. Almost everything is made to order, which is why dispatch takes 4–7 working days. Personalised pieces sit at the higher end of that window — because someone is, honestly, painting your name or your photo by hand, and that is not something to hurry.

Our packaging is plastic-free, cushioned in materials we feel good about sending into the world. Slow-made and gently packed — that is simply how we like to work.

Somewhere along the way, more than 1 lakh happy customers welcomed a little piece of Happy Earth into their homes — on kitchen shelves, sunny windowsills, gifting tables and desks across the country. We still open every order like it is the first. Thank you for that, truly.
